Welcome to Bee Cave

West of Austin, by about 15 miles, is the serene hill country destination called Bee Cave. The town was named for a large cave of Mexican honeybees that lived on the creek banks in a Limestone Cave and encompassed much of Western Travis County. In the early 1850’s Dietrich Bohls relocated near the confluence of Barton Creek and Little Barton Creek and founded what is known today as Bee Cave, Texas. The Bohls ranch exists today as does Bee Cave and the iconic Barton Creek. After 15 decades of development, the City of Bee Cave is swarming with activities. From world renowned golf courses, luxury shopping, incredible dining, a top accredited education system, lush hiking trails and several lakes to enjoy water activities–Bee Cave is the ultimate destination for southern hospitality.
